Just working on concept art for The Locked Maze: Book 3. Here are some fairies from the Queen's court. They started out as being much more, uh, *sedate* in their color schemes, but when I started putting them all together and giving them names... well, let's just hope their bright flower/feather colors don't drive me to distraction when I am trying to color pages in the actual comic book. :P
The left three girls and two boys are the fairies from SLC who aren't dead yet, so you may recognize them. The others are new. The two in white are the queen's personal handmaidens.

Did some Firefly drawing this past week. These took far to long to draw and a few of them turned out less awesome than I had been hoping. I think I've been out of practice for too long (my normal sketchbook? untouched in MONTHS). Well, part of what I intend to rectify the next few weeks...

All the ATC cards I made this year (yes, my sketchbook is feeling neglected now, ha). It is mostly Babylon 5 and Labyrinth, with a few other movies/shows I was watching thrown in.
As you can see, I learned about halfway through that it is easier to draw them BEFORE they are cut up rather than after.
And yeah, this was WAY too much fun-! :)

I just finished another sketchbook! I am still using the ratty 5x7 moleskine variety. It's just less commitment. :P
These are still mostly drawn from TV, although since I moved I no longer have a Tivo, so I am having to do more DVD (which sucks on apple - they may make great software on the whole but frontrow + mac remote is THE WORST way to navigate a dvd. Seriously, Steve Jobs, IT SUCKS!).
Most of the drawings represent shows I love and watch repeatedly, but I'm just going to call out The Painted Veil as the worst bit of romantic drivel ever made. It is so incredibly bad that the Bronte sisters would have liked it.

I'm still working on the next comic page, but I thought I could post this character sketch of Lucky for your enjoyment. I know I suck enough that he isn't coming through in the comic pages as well as I'd like. But this is the character sketch I am operating off of, and I think it expresses exactly who he is perfectly.

This was a christmas present for my 3 nieces - each of them in my cartoon style. The first of my cartoony portraits you can independently verify. The eldest is twelve now and a little old for fairy tales, IMO, but she loves dragons, so she got to be spunky Jane from the tv series Jane and the Dragon.

Yeah, the significant other insisted on buying this game Thursday. I prefer to wait for the virtual crowds to thin. But I did laugh pretty hard when I saw this night elf cheerfully slaughtering whole families of woolly mammoths for no apparent reason. Had to make a comic for that.
