An Entire Sketchbook v2 - 2 of 2 (mleiv.com)
Medium: Pencil Size: 5X7"
I just finished another sketchbook! I am still using the ratty 5x7 moleskine variety. It's just less commitment. :P

These are still mostly drawn from TV, although since I moved I no longer have a Tivo, so I am having to do more DVD (which sucks on apple - they may make great software on the whole but frontrow + mac remote is THE WORST way to navigate a dvd. Seriously, Steve Jobs, IT SUCKS!).

Most of the drawings represent shows I love and watch repeatedly, but I'm just going to call out The Painted Veil as the worst bit of romantic drivel ever made. It is so incredibly bad that the Bronte sisters would have liked it.
Jack Lucky Character Sketch (mleiv.com)
Medium: Pencil Size: 8.5X11"
I'm still working on the next comic page, but I thought I could post this character sketch of Lucky for your enjoyment. I know I suck enough that he isn't coming through in the comic pages as well as I'd like. But this is the character sketch I am operating off of, and I think it expresses exactly who he is perfectly.
3 Nieces (mleiv.com)
Medium: Pencil/Photoshop Size: 7.5X22.5"
This was a christmas present for my 3 nieces - each of them in my cartoon style. The first of my cartoony portraits you can independently verify. The eldest is twelve now and a little old for fairy tales, IMO, but she loves dragons, so she got to be spunky Jane from the tv series Jane and the Dragon.
Warcraft: Baby Woolly Mammoths (mleiv.com)
Medium: Pencil/Photoshop Size: 8.5X11"
Yeah, the significant other insisted on buying this game Thursday. I prefer to wait for the virtual crowds to thin. But I did laugh pretty hard when I saw this night elf cheerfully slaughtering whole families of woolly mammoths for no apparent reason. Had to make a comic for that.
Mayor Costume Sketch (mleiv.com)
Medium: pencil Size: 8x11"
Just a silly costume idea I had a few years back. Finally got 'round to committing it to paper.
Explaining (mleiv.com)
Medium: Pencil Size: 8.5X11"
A frivolous sketch from last night.

It takes a lifetime of moments like this to make a person as screwed up as I am.
An Entire Sketchbook - 3 of 3 (mleiv.com)
Medium: Pencil Size: 5X7"
I just filled up my sketchbook. It was a 5X7" cheap-o brown moleskine. I think for my next one I will upgrade to the real moleskine - hopefully it has nicer paper :)

Most of the drawings are from paused TV (a few internet or magazine thrown in). Please don't assume I like a show because I drew it - ha! I just took whatever was on at the time.

None of the drawings has been removed except for the occasional personal doodle, so you can see my mistakes alongside my (much rarer) successes.

Baroque Jester Doll (mleiv.com)
Medium: Pencil Size: 8X11"
Damn, it's been ages since I drew one of these jester dolls. This was for my website redesign (I know, it's an addiction - I need therapy to keep from constantly redoing my site). But this wasn't quite right so I had to do a second one.
