Mayor Costume Sketch (mleiv.com)
Medium: pencil Size: 8x11"
Just a silly costume idea I had a few years back. Finally got 'round to committing it to paper.
Explaining (mleiv.com)
Medium: Pencil Size: 8.5X11"
A frivolous sketch from last night.

It takes a lifetime of moments like this to make a person as screwed up as I am.
An Entire Sketchbook - 3 of 3 (mleiv.com)
Medium: Pencil Size: 5X7"
I just filled up my sketchbook. It was a 5X7" cheap-o brown moleskine. I think for my next one I will upgrade to the real moleskine - hopefully it has nicer paper :)

Most of the drawings are from paused TV (a few internet or magazine thrown in). Please don't assume I like a show because I drew it - ha! I just took whatever was on at the time.

None of the drawings has been removed except for the occasional personal doodle, so you can see my mistakes alongside my (much rarer) successes.

Baroque Jester Doll (mleiv.com)
Medium: Pencil Size: 8X11"
Damn, it's been ages since I drew one of these jester dolls. This was for my website redesign (I know, it's an addiction - I need therapy to keep from constantly redoing my site). But this wasn't quite right so I had to do a second one.
Parents X 4 (mleiv.com)
Medium: Pencil/Photoshop Size: 8X11"
A drawing for my parents 50th anniversary, just four different memories I have of them.
Family Reunion Tshirt (mleiv.com)
Medium: Pencil/Photoshop Size: 12X12"
I made this for my family's 50th reunion, sort of as penance since I am not going. It was pretty tricky, since all 11 of us look *exactly alike*. And I wanted each picture to represent a sort of remembered version of each person, rather than how they actually look today (for instance, my hair has not been that color since 1993).

Sketched in pencil and scanned in and then photoshop glossed/colored. I'm getting a lot better at the colored lines layer. Yay!

Oh - and may I say how much I love my new porta-trace light pad. I only wish it were battery-operated.
Kellie's Family (four-square) (mleiv.com)
Medium: Pencil/Photoshop Size: 10X10"

Another coworker's family. I'm waiting for the others to queue up, LOL!

Kellie's Family (Group) (mleiv.com)
Medium: Pencil/Photoshop Size: 5.5X8.5"

Another coworker's family (christmas card style). These are actually pretty fun to draw.
